HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language. HTML elements are the building blocks of HTML pages. With HTML constructs, images and other objects, such as interactive forms, may be embedded into the rendered page. It provides a means to create structured documents by denoting structural semantics for text such as headings, paragraphs, lists, links, quotes and other items. HTML elements are delineated by tags, written using angle brackets. Tags such as <*img*> and <*input*> introduce content into the page directly.

Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is a style sheet language used for describing the presentation of a document written in a markup language.[1] Although most often used to set the visual style of web pages and user interfaces written in HTML and XHTML.

HTML5 is latest version of html . Many new syntactic features are included. To natively include and handle multimedia and graphical content, the new <*video*>, <*audio*> and <*canvas*> elements were added, and support for scalable vector graphics (SVG) content and MathML for mathematical formulas. New attributes are introduced, some elements and attributes have been removed, and others such as <*a*>, <*cite*> and <*menu*> have been changed, redefined or standardized.

CSS3 is latest version of css. It brings a lot of long-awaited novelties, like rounded corners, shadows, gradients, transitions or animations, as well as new layouts like multi-columns, flexible box or grid layouts. Experimental parts are vendor-prefixed and should either be avoided in production environments, or used with extreme caution as both their syntax and semantics can change in the future.
